In a time of maximum fear, we have a responsibility to create and manifest hope – the hope grounded in truth-telling, seeing that for which it is, what it can be, what it will be“ ― Norma Wong Rosh

Dear Community,

We begin with these words by Norma Wong Roshi, an Indigenous Hawaiian leader and Zen master, which ground us in the spirit of courage during this politically fraught time: “Courage is not the absence of fear, but what we are in the face of fear and doubt.”

We are at a moment where the core of our work – that of seeking racial, social, and economic justice for our communities – has been criminalized. It is a time when institutions and principles that recognize the innate dignity of all human beings are callously and gleefully disregarded and destroyed. Where communities are torn apart due to xenophobia, homophobia, poverty, and othering. Amidst this fear and uncertainty, we who believe in transformative justice are building movements that resist repression and, guided by Indigenous wisdom that calls us to care for the next seven generations, act on our convictions with courage.

Today, we share our Fiscal 2024 (FY24) annual report with you. This stewardship report – with information on Crossroads Fund grantmaking, programs, and financial health – highlights our shared power and what solidarity in action looks like. In FY24, we moved $5.3 million to 221 powerful organizations. These numbers tell the story of a realized vision and a collective ability to respond to the immediate needs of our communities while also working towards our collective, liberated future.

We know this isn’t just about numbers. Every contribution holds intention, and every grant tells a story of vision and resilience. That’s why we’ve included an Annual Report Reflection Companion: a moment to pause, celebrate what we’ve built together, and ground ourselves for the work ahead. There’s still so much to do to Power the Movement with purpose.

With deep gratitude,
