The Silent/Online Auction is an integral part of our fundraising at Seeds of Change. We are always looking for new and exciting auction items to feature and you can help!

We have already begun our solicitations (a list of people/businesses who have already been asked for items is linked here – please review before you start soliciting items), but they are far from exhaustive. The following are examples of auction items that we would love to have:

• Vacation Homes
• Artwork
• Jewelry
• Garden Services
• Theater Tickets
• Museum Memberships
• Books
• Online Classes
• Gift certificates from restaurants or local businesses
• Self Care (candles, skin care items)
• Unique services or experiences (tours, lessons, film screenings, etc.)

If you would like to solicit an auction item, we have attached an Auction Solicitation Letter, and our 501 (C) (3) letter This year our Auction Donation Form is in Google. Often emailing potential donors is the best way to begin (unless you have a personal relationship with someone at the business). You can use the language below or come up with your email intro:

“Hi, my name is _______, and I’m supporting Crossroads Fund (crossroadsfund.org), a public foundation that funds grassroots organizations working on issues of racial, social, and economic justice in the Chicago area. We provide vital resources to groups across the city working on issues of critical importance to our communities.

We are having our Seeds of Change benefit Friday, March 13, 2026 and we would love to feature an item from ______ in our silent auction.

Information on our annual benefit and silent auction donation form is attached. Please let me know if you need any additional information or whether you are interested in donating an auction item. Thank you so much for your consideration.”

Completed paperwork should be returned to Katie Madden (katie@crossroadsfund.org). Please let Katie know ASAP (you can send her an email) what items/businesses you are soliciting to avoid duplication of efforts. ITEM DEADLINE:

Please keep in mind that the deadline for receiving auction items is February 20, 2026. We are going to hold as firm to that date as we can to minimize chaos leading up to the auction.
